This interest was sparked by a family friend who relayed her stories of travel to me. Through her stories, vivid images of the Japanese countryside and cities ran through my mind, and at age twelve, my desire to go to Japan was ignited. Since the seventh grade, I have always wanted to travel to Japan. Now in my first year of college, I hope to make that dream a reality by maybe spending a summer, if not a semester in Japan.
Taking Japanese is the first step towards my goal!
